Business organizations grow in the community. Therefore, business organizations must have concern for the environment. This concern can be realized through corporate social responsibility (CSR). "Companies can not be selfish because of its very large stakeholders," said Dr. Budi Untung, S.H., C.N., M.M. at the launch and review of his book entitled “CSR dalam Dunia Bisnis” (5/9) at Djarum Foundation Auditorium, 6th floor Pertamina Tower Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM). In addition to the author, the event also invited BM Purwanto, MBA., Ph.D. as a discussant, and Bagus Santoso, M.Soc.Sc., Ph.D. as a moderator.

In the event, it was also explained that the current CSR has been legally regulated through legislation, including Law no. 40 of 2007, Law no. 25 of 2007, and Law no. 8 of 1995. Existence of the rules suggest that CSR is no longer responsibility but an obligation for the company. "CSR has a major impact on society. CSR can lift people's welfare by empowering communities and lift access to poor people in order to get capital and technology", explained Budi Untung.

B.M. Purwanto who is also the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs FEB UGM stated that there should be some issues that need to be discussed in depth in the book. These issues include discrimination validity, awareness that one which makes people rich is not a country but a business, and consumers are alienated because they can not access their basic needs. On this occasion, the critic of the enactment of CSR will impact the shift in the meaning of CSR concerns into compliance.
