Hosted by the Accounting Center for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises under the Department of Accounting FEB UGM, the international seminar on "How to Create Startup and e-Business: German and Indonesian Perspectives" had successfully attracted over 50 participants from various universities and institutions. This seminar was held at the 9th of August 2017 in Kertanegara Room, FEB UGM. It was the last part of lecture series on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises hosted by the Department of Accounting FEB UGM in collaboration with the Senior Experten Service, Germany.
Officiated by the The Director of the Accounting Center for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises FEB UGM, Syaiful Ali, M.I.S., Ph.D., this seminar aims to enrich participants’ knowledge on how to develop the great potential of e-business sector and the importance of startup industry in this era. Three experts were cordially invited as speakers, they are Dr. Gerhard Herz, Ahmad Yuniarto, and Anggit Tut Pinilih.
Dr. Gerhard Herz from Senior Experten Service (SES) Germany shared his thoughts about business environment for startups and e-businesses in Germany, including hot topics, issues, challenges, and ideas. He also talked about how to develop business strategies for startups. Ahmad Yuniarto (Voluntary Advisor for Innovative Academy PUI UGM, Founding Chairman of Yayasan Biru Peduli, Founding Partner of PentaPeople, and Senior Advisor for Boston Consulting Group) mentioned about the role of University as the incubation center for e-business. He furtherly added about how startups gives positive impacts for the society. Lastly, Anggit Tut Pinilih from JAKPAT Mobile Survey Platform brought another insightful knowledge on channels and practices of startups in Indonesia.
From this seminar, the participants are expected to gain more knowledge about e-business environment from Indonesian and Germany perspectives. Additionally, they can implement the strategies and develop useful startups for a better society.
