Prof. Bambang Riyanto, LS, M.B.A, PhD. was officially inaugurated as Professor in Accounting from University of Gadjah Mada (UGM) in the Professor's Council Meeting held at the Senate Hall of University of Gadjah Mada on Thursday (07/16). The meeting was attended by the Chairperson of the Board of Professors, Professors, and attendees, the UGM academic community. The broadcast was live through the @UGMOfficial Youtube channel, the Inauguration of the Professor ran smoothly. With this, Prof. Bambang Riyanto officially became the 41st Professor of the total 46 Professors at the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM (FEB UGM). Prof. Bambang Riyanto also became the 484th Professor of 563 UGM Professors, both active and non-active. Inauguration of the Professor is evidence of efforts from Prof.'s Bambang Riyanto, who has served in the world of Education for a long time. Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM (FEB UGM), Eko Suwardi, Ph.D. expressed his pride and congratulations to Prof. Riyanto has been confirmed as one of the professors at FEB UGM. "Prof. Bambang Riyanto assumed a new position and added an expert in FEB, especially in the field of Accounting. Congratulations and success to Prof. Bambang Riyanto ", said Eko.

On Friday (26/6), the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Economics and Business UGM collaborated with Indonesian Chartered Accountants (IAI) Chapter DI. Yogyakarta held a seminar titled "Financial and Accounting Systems for Health Institutions in New Normal Conditions". This program was a response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the government policy that has begun to relax the implementation of large-scale social restrictions (PSBB). The policy must be accompanied by health protocols and system adjustments in health institutions.

On Thursday (25/6) the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) held SinarKu: Seminar and Public Lecture with the headline " Primary Data Collection Through Surveys". At this time, SinarKu discusses how to collect primary data through surveys and how the data can influence decision making. Covid-19 pandemic caused SinarKU to have limitations to be carried out offline, therefore this time SinarKu was carried out online by using the Cisco Webex platform. Even so, it did not affect the enthusiasm of the participants to attend the seminar, evidently 142 participants have participated in enlivening the discussion both from academics and the general public. Shima Dewi Mutiara Trisna, SE., M.Sc was presented as a moderator who led the discussion with the guest speaker, Anna Triana Falentina, Ph.D. from the Directorate for Development of Census and Survey Methodology of the Central Bureau of Statistics.

On Sunday (14/7) the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) held a Seminar and Public Lecture (SinarKU). Bringing the topic of "Pre-Work Card: Theory, Policy, Implementation", this time SinarKU discussed the Pre-Work Card Program that was launched by the Government last April. Given the conditions caused by Pandemic Covid-19, the seminar was held online through the Webex platform. About 150 participants attended the seminar, both from academia and the general public. This seminar was moderated by Eny Sulistyaningrum, Ph.D. and was attended by two speakers, namely Executive Director of the Pre-Work Cards Management, Denni Puspa Purbasari, Ph.D. and Elan Satriawan, PhD. as Head of the National Policy Team for the Acceleration of Poverty Reduction (TNP2K).

Eid Al-Fitr celebration has always become a tradition, where the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), always held a gathering event. However, the COVID-19 pandemic which required restrictions based on health protocols also affected the implementation of the event. The Syawalan tradition, which has been usually held directly around FEB UGM area, must be done virtually now. Nevertheless, the event was successfully held on Thursday, May 28th. By being armed with a smartphone or laptop/PC, the entire academic community of FEB UGM held a virtual halalbihalal. The event began at 08.30 am via Zoom Cloud Meeting and was also broadcasted via FEB UGM YouTube Channel.

Covid-19, a pandemic that was never predicted before, has given a big impact towards people's behavior. Considering that issue, on Wednesday (20/05), Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) held SinarKU (Seminar and Public Lecture) entitled "Behavioural and Experimental Research During the 2020 Pandemic". Approximately 121 participants attended the discussion, both from academia and the general public. This discussion was hosted by Putu Sanjiwacika R., S.E, M.Sc as the moderator and was attended by speakers, namely Lecturers from the Department of Economics FEB UGM, M. Ryan Sanjaya, Ph.D.
