FEB Students Win 1st Place of the 2nd National Business Plan Competition 2017 held in Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta

Team from Faculty of Economics and Business UGM consists of Erina Sofia Gudono (Management 2014), Anak Agung Indira (Management 2014), and Legahati Sekar Putri (Management 2014) have successfully won (1st place) in The 2nd National Business Plan Competition 2017 organized by Student Association Management Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta on 14th - 15th April 2017.
The 2nd National Business Plan Competition 2017 is a national competition by creating business plan aimed for undergraduates and diplomas in Indonesia. This year, The 2nd National Business Plan Competition 2017 has a grand theme for this competition, "Strategi dan Inovasi Creativepreneur dalam Mewujudkan SDGs 2030." Through this competition, the participants are expected to improve the creativity in making innovative business improve the entrepreneurial spirit of the students through the innovativeness to achieve SGSs 2030. SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals are a collection of 17 interrelated global goals set out by the United Nations and each of the broad goals has several targets. The goals are no poverty; zero hunger; good health and well being; quality education; gender equality; clean water and sanitation; affordable and clean energy; decent work and economic growth; industry, innovation, and infrastructure; reduced inequality; sustainable cities and communities; responsible consumption and production; climate action; life below water; life on land; peace, justice, and strong institutions; partnerships for the goals.
The 2nd National Business Plan Competition 2017 participants are required to create a business plan proposal with a goal to help Indonesia achieve SDGs 2030. Participants competed to make a comprehensive, creative, and innovative business plan to solve problems which are exist in Indonesia.
From many of teams who submitted their business plan as a preliminary round, 10 teams from all over Indonesia were then elected to join the final round and make a presentation at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta.
