FEB UGM Team Won the 3rd Place in Malaysia-Indonesia Business Case Competition

Raisadinda Pramesti (Management 2015), Afrizal Hakim Ahmad Faiz (Management 2015), and Ahmad Najmi Ramadhani (Management 2015), three of them are undergraduate student of Faculty of Economics and Business UGM, had successfully achieved the 3rd winner of Malaysia-Indonesia Business Case Competition in Surabaya, on October 27-28, 2017.
Malaysia-Indonesia (MALINDO) Business Case Competition is an annual business competition held by Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. In 2017, competition that took up theme of "Creating Smart Business People in Actuating and Making Decision" challenged its participants to solve cases from Bidakara Hotel Group which is caught in a tight rivalry in the industry.
This competition consisted of two stages, the first stage was paper selection on the last September that was participated by 132 teams from 41 universities around Malaysia and Indonesia. The second stage was presentation in Auditorium of FEB UNESA done by the best 15 that passed the first stage. Participants were coming from various universities and majors, some of them are Institute Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Indonesia, Prasetiya Mulya, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran, Universitas Sriwijaya, Universiti Utara Malaysia, and International Islamic University of Malaysia. FEB UGM got the 7th rank with total score 840 on the first stage and the 2nd rank with total score 2040 on the second stage. According to accumulation of those two stages, FEB UGM team achieved the 3rd winner in this competition.
