UGM Student Team Won Lomba Karya Tulis Ilmiah Nasional 2017 Under Creative Economic Theme held in Universitas Trunojoyo Madura

Collaboration among Dominikus Belfast (Accounting 2015) and the other 2 students from Faculty of Cultural Science UGM, Benedicta Yuventa (Archeology 2015) and Elisabeth Hertami (Archeology 2015) resulted good achievement. The team won the 3rd place in Lomba Karya Tulis Ilmiah Nasional (LKTIN) 2017 under the theme "Optimalisasi Potensi Ekonomi Kreatif Berbasis Kearifan Lokal Menuju Sustainable Development Goals" organized by the Student Executive Board of Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Trunojoyo Madura (UTM).
The competition began with the collection of abstracts on September 10, 2017 and followed up by final round on 26-28 October 2017 in Bangkalan, Madura. In this competition, the team wrote a paper entitled “Optimalisasi Potensi Peninggalan Arkeologis dan Budaya Madura untuk Strategi Wisata Kabupaten Sumenep.” The title was in line with one of the sub theme, tourism.
Sixty teams from various universities in Indonesia participated in the competition and then selected into 15 qualified teams for the presentation session. Some of them were Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Airlangga, Universitas Brawijaya, Universitas Sebelas Maret, ITS Surabaya, Universitas Negeri Malang, and Universitas Trunojoyo Madura.
