UGM Students Won 1st Place in National Scientific Writing Competition at Universitas Jember

Three UGM students, consisting of Made Lanang Ray Widyatmika (Accounting 2015), Fernandi Army (Economics 2015), and Natasha Christanti (English-SV 2016), in the Equilibrium team won the first place in the national scientific writing competition in 'Pekan Raya Ekonomi 2018' held by Economics student association (HMJIE) Faculty of Economics adn Business Universitas Jember (UNEJ).
The National Scientific Writing Competition (LKTI) is one of a series of events from 'Pekan Raya Ekonomi 2018' which one of the biggest events organized by Economics student association (HMJIE) FEB UNEJ. This year, the main theme was "Technology and Economic Welfare: Targets, Innovations and Strategies." This competition is held from 7 May to 14 October 2018 and joined by students from various universities in Indonesia.
The selection stage is divided into three stages. First, participants submit abstract that will be selected into 25 participants. In the next stage, participants were asked to submit a full paper and only 10 papers will pass to the final round and present their papers in front of the jury. The equilibrium team from UGM passed to the final round and competed with other teams from Universitas Brawijaya, Universitas Negeri Semarang, Universitas Jember, Universitas Negeri Malang, and others.
In the presentation round, Equilibrium UGM team succeed to convince the jury through the innovation of the development for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s) in Indonesia and defeat paper from other teams. UGM equilibrium team got 1600 of a total score and succeeded become the winner. The assessment criteria used were 40% submission of ideas, 30% suitability of material, and 30% ability to discuss.
