In 2019, the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) held its 64th Anniversary. One of the agendas implemented was Tumpengan and Art Night which was held on Wednesday (18/9). This shows that FEB UGM not only emphasizes international achievements but also preserves culture with art. This art performance is a collaboration of lecturers, education staff, students, and Dharma Wanita FEB UGM supported by the UGM academic community. By performing arts, FEB UGM contributes to the development of Indonesia, namely to produce superior human resources and have social maturity.

The event began with dinner accompanied by keroncong music by FEB Keroncong. Furthermore, there was the Langen Sari dance performance by the 1971 KAFEGAMA (alumni) who took the Dharma Wanita FEB UGM. The event took place very lively with the nuances of gamelan which accompanied the dances of the dancers.

After that, the event continued with the Dean greeting and cutting tumpeng. The tumpeng pieces were given to the Rectorate Board, the FEB UGM Senate Chairperson, Faculty Elders, Educational Staff Representatives, student representatives, and Dharma Wanita representatives. Tumpeng comes from an abbreviation 'yen metu kudu memeng' which has its own meaning. When translated in Indonesian, ‘yen metu kudu mempeng’ means when going out must be truly enthusiastic. ’The symbolic handover is done with the hope that FEB UGM will further establish networks and relationships at both national and international levels.

Next, Dharma Wanita FEB UGM, which is a member of the Bamboe Orchestra Economy, entertained the audience by playing angklung and traditional gamelan music. Featuring 3 songs namely Jaranan, Manuk Dadali, and Besame Mucho. Jaranan's first song comes from Central Java. This song was performed using objects that resemble the network in singing it. The meaning of this song directs children "to respect each other and submit to others, especially older ones, which also means loving each other without discrimination.

The second appearance of the Bamboe Economic Orchestra is Manuk Dadali which symbolizes that the eagle is an animal that is a symbol of unity, love each other, and dare to sacrifice and contains strong nationalism. Furthermore, this group performed the song Besame Mucho which means Kiss me a lot. This song is a 1940s song that originated in Mexico.

Entering the peak of the event, the wayang wong performance with the play "Petruk Became a King" (Indonesian, Petruk Dadi Ratu) successfully attracted the enthusiasm of the audience. The play tells of Petruk who succeeded in reclaiming the inheritance of Jamus Kalimasada who had been stolen by Dewi Mustakaweni. In carrying out its task of returning heirlooms, Petruk is separated from his master. Next, the story is told when Petruk became king until the battles were carried out to conquer the countries he was ruling.

Interestingly, the players in the play were none other than representatives of the dean, lecturers, and educational staff at FEB UGM. Even Dr. Eko Suwardi, M.Sc., C.M.A. as the Dean of FEB UGM also played a role (as Peturk) in the show. In addition, lecturers such as Basu Swastha Dharmmesta, Prof., Dr., M.B.A., Rr. Tour Nastiti, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D, Catur Sugiyanto, Prof., Dr., M.A., Rr. Mukitari Basu Swastha, to Suwardjono, Prof., Dr., M.Sc. also involved in playing roles.

This event was held at Plaza FEB UGM. Enlivened by a number of doorprize and grandprize, one unit of motorbike attracts the interest of the FEB UGM academic community to last until the end of the event. FEB UGM locally rooted globally respected.
