Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) was the first business school in Indonesia to have been accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), a prestigious accreditation agency for business schools in the world. Due to its many achievements, FEB UGM has become a school greatly demanded by prospective students in Indonesia. Therefore, to provide information about the undergraduate program at FEB UGM directly to prospective students in Indonesia, on the fifteenth of January, Series #2 of FEB UGM’S Virtual Open House was held to provide a direct overview of going to university at FEB UGM and detailed information about the regular program and the International Undergraduate Program (IUP).
The event was opened with remarks from Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni. After that, the event continued with a presentation session about FEB UGM by Annisa Hayatun Nazmi Burhan, S.E., M.Sc., a lecturer in the Department of Accounting. In this session, Annisa provided detailed explanations about the undergraduate programs at FEB UGM and the facilities available within the faculty. She also explained that FEB UGM has many partner universities from abroad to support their students in gaining international exposure, through the likes of student exchange programs or dual degrees.
The undergraduate program at FEB UGM is taught in Indonesian for the regular program and English for the IUP program. In the IUP program, the curriculum is regulated according to international qualifications so that course credits can be transferred to partner universities abroad when doing an exchange or dual degree. In addition, FEB UGM also collaborates with various partners, both within the government and private sectors, to create learning innovations, such as project-based learning, case-based learning, and experiential learning.
Not limited to just introducing FEB UGM in detail to prospective students, this event also invited Cita Amalia, an Outstanding Student of FEB UGM, and Erina Gudono, an alumni of FEB UGM as well as Yogyakarta’s (DIY) representative in Putri Indonesia 2022, to share their experiences while studying at FEB UGM and tips and tricks during lectures to prospective students in the audience.
