Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) held International Academic Exposure, in Bangkok, Thailand for 5 days, start from January 24th, 2011. This program is designed for all
undergraduate program students at FEB UGM to broaden their international knowledge and experience.
For this first batch, 10 students from IUP and regular program joined this program. They followed two lectures at Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University. First lecture was about the Political Risk and International Business in Thailand, delivered by Assoc. Prof. Vira Somboon, Ph.D. The second lecture was about Cross Cultural Management, by Asst. After the lectures, they visited the biggest company in Thailand, Siam Cement Group (SCG). Mr. Bunn Kasemsup, Corporate Planning Director, gave a deep presentation about history and business development of SCG.
For the cultural knowledge, the group visited the Grand Palace, and some temples which are very well known in the world wide.
This program gives a great benefit for the students, both from international economics and business knowledge side and cultural side. Hopefully, this program will be conducted twice a year, with different destination.
