Prospective students who wish to join the National Admission Test for State Universities (Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri/SNMPTN) are strongly advised to read this information. Prof. Dr. Ir. Budi Prasetyo, Widyobroto, DEA., DESS., the Chairman of the Local Committee of Yogyakarta, explains to reporters on Monday, May 7 at his office of Academic Administration Services Universitas Gadjah Mada that SNMPTN registration is officially opened on May 10 to May 31, 2012. The registration is on line by accessing the page http://ujian.snmptn.ac.id. "For those who have already signed up SNMPTN Invitation Phase and are awaiting the results announcement on May 28, they are as well welcome to inscribe.

Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UGM in partnership with Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) launches their program 'BRI Entrepreneurial People'. Doubts of the government's fuel subsidy in 2011 and are mainly due to the strong political overtones imaging. The government also tends to be indecisive for the preparation of the elimination strategy of the most optimum fuel subsidy. Even the roadmap of the fuel subsidy reduction has been prepared by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, The Governement is still away from realizing it. Moreover, the studies recommendations from three university consortium consisting of UGM, UI, and ITB in 2011, are ignored. Whereas the subsidy control study is the mandate of the decree, article 10 of the Year 2010 pertaining the State Budget 2011.

Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada and Djarum Foundation helds its Hand Over assistance ceremony of Djarum Foundation educational assistance to the Faculty of Economics and Business. The aid given is in the form of educational infrastructure manifested in furniture and electronics of the auditorium at the Pertamina Tower. A simple ceremony held at the Faculty hall attended by all faculty members, alumni, staff, students, and also Djarum Foundation scholarship recipient.
