UGM Student Wins 1st Place in Pertamina Lubricant in WOW Case 2019 Yogyakarta Region

‘Quant’, a team from Universitas Gadjah Mada, consists of Dharmawan Santosa (Economics 2016), Chyntia Deviani Rahardjo (Management-IUP 2018) and Triyuni Lestari (Psychology 2018) was announced as the ‘1st winner’ of Pertamina Lubricants WOW Case Competition 2019 Yogyakarta Region, which is part of the Indonesia Marketeers Festival 2019 on 14th-15th August 2019 at the Convention Hall UIN and Royal Ambarrukmo Yogyakarta.
Pertamina Lubricants WOW Case Competition is one of the biggest undergraduate marketing competition held by MarkPlus, Inc in which participants can develop and implement their ideas and knowledge on strategy and marketing. This year the case contributor was Pertamina Lubricants where the participants had to analyse and came up with the best solutions to increase the company acquisition rate across the nation.
The competition itself was divided into two stages. The first stage was the preliminary round where students were required to do a pitch deck submission containing their analysis and recommendations to the case. From all the submissions, 8 top teams were chosen for the Yogyakarta final round and invited to do a final presentation in front of the judges consists of 2 practitioners from Pertamina and MarkPlus, Inc.
During the main event of Indonesia Marketeers Festival 2019 Roadshow in Yogyakarta, ‘Quant’ was announced as the 1st winner of Pertamina Lubricants WOW Case Competition 2019 Yogyakarta Region.
“It was quite intense, as all of our team members were on different cities during the preliminary round, and I was still in Jakarta one day before the final pitch and have to get the earliest flight to Yogyakarta on the final day, but yeah, eventually things turned out quite well”, said Dharmawan
