Faculty of Economics and Business UGM is once again proud, one of its best lecturers, Prof. Dr. Mahfud Sholihin, M.Acc. (Lecturer in the Department of Accounting and currently serving as Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs) won the "Academic Leader Award 2019" for the category of Lecturer in Humanities, by the Directorate General of Science and Technology Resources and Higher Education, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) Republic of Indonesia, on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at the Vertu Harmoni Hotel, Jakarta.
The Academic Leader Award 2019 is given to academics, especially lecturers who have contributed to the advancement of higher education in the country. The award is divided into two broad categories, namely the lecturer category based on the field of science being taught, as well as the lecturer category with additional duties as leaders of higher education and heads of higher education service institutions (LL-Dikti). The awarding of the Academic Leader Award coincided with the momentum of the anniversary of the Pancasila Pact and was attended by the chancellors, lecturers, and academics from various universities in Indonesia.
Besides Prof. Mahfud Sholihin, three other UGM lecturers also received awards in this way, namely: Prof. Ir. Panut Mulyono, M.Eng., D.Eng., IPU., ASEAN.Eng., (Rector of Universitas Gadjah Mada) won the Academic Leader Award for the Lecturer category with the Additional Duty as the Leader of the Legal Entity State University (PTN-BH), Prof. Dr. Ir. Siti Subandiyah., M.Agr.Sc. (Lecturer in the Faculty of Agriculture) won the Academic Leader Award for Agriculture, and Prof. Ir. Arief Budiman., M.S., D.Eng. (Lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering) won runner up in the Academic Leader Award for the Technology Sector.
