FEB UGM Participates in the 2024 AACSB Annual Conference in USA

The International Conference and Annual Meeting of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (ICAM AACSB) was held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA from April 14-17, 2024. This prestigious event was attended by hundreds of faculty and school leaders from around the world, both unaccredited and accredited AACSB members.
As a business school accredited since 2014, the Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, M.Com., Ak., C.A., accompanied by the Vice Dean for Finance, Assets and Human Resources, Suyanto, S.E., M.B.A., Ph.D., participated in ICAM. The purpose of the participation was not only to fulfill the obligation to attend the annual meeting, but also to expand the network of cooperation and collaboration with various international partners. This ICAM forum is also a means of updating the understanding of best practices in the organization of business schools and refreshing existing standards. FEB UGM remains committed to meeting the quality standards set by AACSB. The presence of FEB UGM in ICAM AACSB is a manifestation of this commitment and an effort to continue improving the quality of education and research at FEB UGM.
AACSB's ICAM is an annual event that serves as a meeting forum for leaders in business and management education worldwide. It allows stakeholders to share knowledge and experiences related to business education.
The Forum was attended by more than 1,200 attendees from 58 countries worldwide. The theme of the event was "Leading Beyond Boundaries". The Forum was divided into sub-themes, from regional and topical meetings to peer networking and social discussions. In addition to discussion and networking, attendees had the opportunity to attend a conference with two keynote speakers, Amy Webb, founder and CEO of the Future Today Institute, and Shawn Achor, author of the New York Times bestseller, The Happiness Advantage and Big Potential.
In addition to participating in ICAM, FEB UGM also explored cooperation with potential campus partners, namely City University Hong Kong and the Catholic University of Uruguay. "At ICAM, FEB was able to conduct several cooperation talks and make further meeting plans with potential partners, including Prof. Seen Meng Chew from City University Hong Kong and Soraia Marino from the Catholic University of Uruguay," said Didi on Tuesday (4/23).
