FEB UGM Improves Digital Skills of its Professional Staff with Microsoft Office and RStudio Training

To improve the digital skills of its professional staff, the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM organized a training session on Microsoft Office and RStudio applications. The training was held from Monday to Wednesday, December 16-18, 2024, in room U-104 FEB UGM, and aimed to provide participants with practical skills to support their work productivity.
The event was attended by about 100 participants from various units of FEB UGM, divided into several sessions based on the needs and skills of the employees. The professionals received in-depth training on Microsoft Office features, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, tailored to their skill levels, and RStudio for data management and statistical analysis.
"This training is part of our commitment to providing employees with skills relevant to today's workforce. Mastering Microsoft Office and R.Studio will bring significant benefits, especially in supporting work productivity and efficiency," said Nur Bakti Susilo, S.E., Ak., CA., ASEAN CPA., Head of FEB UGM Administration Office, in his opening speech.
Nur explained that this training is part of a human resources (HR) development program designed by FEB UGM. It is hoped that the training will directly impact the professional staff's work quality.
"I hope that each team member who attends this training will be able to use the knowledge gained to speed up and simplify work processes and achieve more optimal results," he added.
Meanwhile, lead trainer Harimurti Yogatama Hadipurnomo, S.E., said optimizing features in Microsoft Office and R.Studio makes tasks more manageable and helps increase work efficiency.
"Employees are taught not only how to use the tools but also how to maximize their features to complete tasks faster and more professionally," he said.
This training serves as a means of self-development and a strategic step in preparing human resources for the challenges of the digital age. FEB UGM will continue to support the development of team members' skills through training programs and continuous learning.
