FEB UGM Implements a healthy campus with the FEB Sehat Program

The Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) is committed to creating a healthy and inclusive campus environment. One of its initiatives is the FEB Sehat Program, which encourages its academic community to engage in regular physical activity.
FEB UGM Administrative Office Head Nur Bakti Susilo, S.E., Ak., CA., ASEAN CPA. Explained that the development of the FEB Sehat program is also an effort to support UGM's Health Promotion University (HPU) initiative. To facilitate FEB Sehat activities, FEB UGM has provided various sports facilities such as volleyball courts, billiards, table tennis, gym equipment, yoga, aerobics, etc. These are complemented by group exercise sessions held every Friday morning.
"This FEB Sehat activity is a form of work-life balance in the workplace. The work-life balance is achieved through exercise, improving health, and fostering employee teamwork," he explained.
The FEB Sehat program is held regularly on the first week of each month according to a predetermined schedule. Professional staff and faculty are encouraged to participate in the program or exercise using the campus facilities.
"If there are no urgent tasks, employees are required to exercise for about 30 minutes using the available facilities," Nur added.
The inaugural FEB Sehat activity was held on Friday, January 3, 2024, at FEB UGM. The event was lively, and professional staff and faculty actively participated from 7:30 am to 9:00 am. Some members of the FEB UGM community participated in aerobics, while others enjoyed table tennis, billiards, and volleyball.
The FEB UGM Sehat activity received positive feedback from the FEB UGM academic community. One such response came from Siwi Estri Esthiningtyas, a professional staff member of FEB UGM. She expressed great enthusiasm for participating in the FEB UGM Sehat program.
"This event is a must! Besides meeting other professionals, it also makes our bodies healthier. The instructor was very engaging! I hope this activity will continue regularly," she said.
Bomantoro, a professional KIAA FEB UGM staff member, shared a similar sentiment. He explained that FEB UGM Sehat is an opportunity for group exercise and a chance to bring together professional staff from different departments of FEB UGM.
"This FEB Sehat activity was so much fun! The deans, faculty, and departmental staff gathered, chatted, and enjoyed refreshment together. It brought everyone closer together. We need more events like this!" he said.
