Prof. Nurul Indarti, Sivilokonom., Cand.Merc., Ph.D., was officially inaugurated as a Professor of Management at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at the UGM Senate Hall. With her appointment, Nurul became the first female professor of management at UGM.

The FEB UGM delegation, led by the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation and Alumni, Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., accompanied by the Head of Economics Department, Rimawan Pradiptyo, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., was warmly received by Lambertus Dwi Setiawan, M.Eng, the Head of Jasindo's Yogyakarta Representative Office. During the visit, they discussed potential collaboration opportunities between UGM and Jasindo in education, research, and community service, particularly in insurance.

Two alumni of the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), have successfully received the Arryman Scholarship to pursue joint Master's and PhD studies at the Department of Economics, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. The recipients are Alifia Marina Syarfi, a 2019 graduate of the international undergraduate program (IUP), and Christian Tangkere, a 2018 graduate of the undergraduate program.
