Faculty of Economics and Business UGM held Training of Trainers program for the syllabus and teaching development of business sustainability education in business schools. This program is a collaboration between FEB UGM and United Nations University (UNU). The dean of FEB UGM, Dr. Eko Suwardi, opened this ToT program that were held for two days from 9th to 10th of October 2017. During this program, 26 lecturers from various Faculty of Economics and Businesses in Indonesia were actively participating in this program.

The program was held in BRI Room, Master of Science and Doctoral Program, FEB UGM and was attended more than 200 participants.

Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) turns 62 in 2017. Established since 19 September 1955, FEB UGM has strong commitment to create the best graduates every year. FEB UGM always attempts to self-improve and achieve both national and international accomplishment. The 62nd DIES NATALIS (Anniversary) FEB UGM major theme is "Meeting Global Challenges with Local Wisdom to Serve the Community". Several activities have been held to celebrate this anniversary. Both academic and social events have been organized to promote local wisdom. Social activities such as the distribution of clean water in Gunungkidul, health check for community, and others have been run successfully. Traditional events held to celebrate the anniversary as the form of local wisdom practice and community service.

Thursday (14/9) Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) opened the 5th Gadjah Mada International Conference on Economics and Business (GAMAICEB) 2017 conference in BRI Auditorium, FEB UGM under a theme “Sustainable Development: Challenge and Opportunity in Developing Countries”. Vice Dean for Finance, Asset, and Human Resource FEB UGM, Kusdhianto Setiawan, Sivilekonom, Ph. D., opened the conference. The first session of the conference lead by Heni Wahyuni, S.E., M. Ec. Dev., Ph. D. There were 3 presenters in the session; Prof. Juliet Willetts, Ph.D. (University of Technology Sidney, Australia), A. Tony Prasetiantono, Ph.D., (Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia), dan Salmi Mohd. Isa, Ph.D. (Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia).

Friday (15/09), in order to celebrate Dies Natalis FEB UGM in its 62, a symposium was held with the theme "Local Wisdom to Face the Global Challenges". The purpose of conducting the event is to give insights to about the roles which could be implemented from the values possessed by Indonesia which then might be used to face the global challenges, especially in education.

Master of Accounting Study Programme (MAKSI) UGM has released Financial Condition Index and Financial Transparency Index in a national seminar entitled Healthy and Transparent Regional Financial Management on Thursday (7/9) in Grha Sabha Pramana Hall UGM. MAKSI also awarded 75 regional governments that ranked well in the index.
