At the end of the activity, each team as a university representative was given a final project on empowering women who could contribute at the level of individuals, schools, families, government, from local to international using ICT.
UGM team won the 1st place by bringing up the idea of protecting female workers, which was inspired by many cases of death and abuse that afflicted emigrant workers especially the Indonesian women. UGM team developed a prototype named HER (Helper Bracelet for Women Emigrant Workers) to help women migrant workers who work in the domestic sector who are in the susceptible of violence and abuse.
They hope that this idea and prototype can be further developed to improve women's empowerment in developing countries which is in line with the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals such as Gender Equality, Decent Work and Economic Growth.
