FEB UGM Student Team Wins Gold Prize at IIBD International Case Competition 2021

The student team from the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM succeeded in achieving the Gold Prize (First Place) as well as Best Presenter award in the world business competition, IIBD International Case Competition 2021. The competition was held virtually in May for the preliminary round and on November 5, 2021 for the final round by the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) School of Business.
The Universitas Gadjah Mada team are Alya Shafira Mashuri (Economics-IUP 2019), Ahmad Zaky Ismail (Economics-IUP 2019), David Gautama (Economics-IUP 2019), and Schalke Anindya Putri (Economics-IUP 2020). The UGM team won 1st place after completing a business case in 4 hours for the final round regarding Jai Vakeel Foundation. Not only that, Alya Shafira Mashuri, as the head of the UGM team, also received the Best Presenter award for the final round of the IIBD International Case Competition.
The annual international business case competition was participated by 37 teams from a number of world universities from 21 countries. The UGM team had to compete against opposing teams and finally managed to beat them, some of them are Ivey Business School, National University of Singapore, Australian National University, Ateneo de Manila University, Shanghai University, City University of Hong Kong, University of Delhi, University of Hawai'i at Manoa and many more.
We congratulate the winning team. It is hoped that this achievement will continue to be improved every year and be able to inspire #SobatFEB to continue to make achievements in the future.
