"No day without achievement" aptly describes the undergradute students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM). The Nawasena team, consisting of Alya Nabila Aqsha (Economics 2021), I Gusti Ayu Maresta Amrita Puspa Pujawati (Economics 2021), and Rohinun (Economics 2021), successfully clinched the second-place position in the business case competition of the 7th Bachelor Journey in Management organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia (FEB UI), on September 12 to October 25, 2023. To achieve this outstanding accomplishment, they had to go through several stages.

The competition began with the preliminary round, which took place from September 12th to September 27th, 2023. In this stage, the Nawasena team had to compete with 125 other teams in crafting a proposal containing analysis and strategies related to the Workers Social Security Management Agency (BPJAMSOSTEK) case. In this case, they were tasked with devising strategies to increase community participation in the particular government program, especially for those not receiving wages (BPU) and in the informal sector. Comprehensive analysis propelled the Nawasena team to the final round, along with five other teams. In the final stage, which took place on Wednesday (25/10) at the Graduate School Building of FEB UI, they had to present the analysis and strategies they had outlined in their proposal. They managed to secure second place in this event.

One of the team members, I Gusti Ayu Maresta A. P. P., shared her experience in an interview. "We feel grateful because the time and energy we sacrificed yielded results. Moreover, we are proud of ourselves for successfully navigating various challenging competition processes," said Maresta.

Maresta mentioned that one of the biggest challenges she and the team faced in this competition was time management, dividing time between lectures and competition preparation. Additionally, the case presented in this competition was quite complex, based on reality. Maresta stated, "Our team felt challenged in working on this case. However, on the other hand, it was a precious learning experience. As Economics students, a lot of knowledge from our lectures can be applied in this case, such as social insurance, labor, and individual income."

The Nawasena team received facilities from FEB UGM during the competition preparation process. These facilities included guidance from Qisha Quarina, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., a Labor Economics Lecturer from the Department of Economics, FEB UGM. "With this guidance, we felt assisted in developing critical thinking, finding new ideas, and evaluating our work," said Maresta.

In conclusion, Maresta conveyed a message to her fellow FEB UGM students about to engage in business case competitions. "Stay enthusiastic when participating in business case competitions. Consider each competition an opportunity to learn, develop yourself, and gain new knowledge useful for future competitions. Never give up, and keep trying. With diligence and hard work, you will reach a turning point and achieve success!"
