A team of undergraduate students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), won third place in the International Accounting Competition (INACTION) at the event of Udaya Accounting Days (UAD) 2024 which was organized by the Accounting Student Association, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Udayana, on August 9-10, 2014.

The FEB UGM team, named "Kel. 4 SPM", consisted of Alif Hasan Ramadhan (Accounting 2022), Alpha Daniel Pangihutan Simanjuntak (Accounting 2022) and Cynthia Fransisca (Accounting 2022). They secured third place in this prestigious competition after going through a rigorous selection process. The competition involved 30 teams from various universities in Indonesia and abroad.

Alif explained that the competition consisted of three online and offline stages. The competition ran from July to August 2024. The preliminary and semi-final rounds were held online in July, while the final round was held offline at Universitas Udayana.

Alif explained that each team had to answer multiple-choice questions and essays in the preliminary round. In the semi-final, all teams were asked to work on the accounting cycle of a manufacturing company.

"In the final round, the top six teams were asked to write an essay on the carbon trading market, where we had to explain the role of accounting in this context and present it to the judges. We also had to participate in a 'battle of three' or quiz competition," he explained during a call on Wednesday (September 4, 2024).

Cynthia expressed her gratitude for the achievement they were able to secure. Their experience can serve as a springboard for even more outstanding achievements in the future. In addition, this achievement is expected to inspire other FEB UGM students to excel.
