Six Undergraduate Students of FEB UGM Received Scholarships from Bank Shinhan Indonesia

Six students of the Undergraduate Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) received scholarships from Shinhan Bank Indonesia. The head of Shinhan Bank Indonesia Yogyakarta Branch, Mirza Himawan, presented the scholarship award at the Kertanegara Room FEB UGM on May 7, 2024.
The six recipients are Ahmad Taqiyuddin (Economics 2020), Fahreza Gusti Pradana (Economics 2020), Febiana Gitya (Economics 2020), Sylvie Purigativa Dwisaniti (Accounting 2020), Sri Arthauli Rezeki (Management 2020), and Vincentius Candra Kurniawan Laiyan (Management 2021). These students will receive an educational grant of IDR 6,000,000.00 each.
In his speech, Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., expressed his gratitude to Shinhan Bank Indonesia for providing student scholarships. It is hoped that the provided scholarships will support the smooth and successful study of the students.
Meanwhile, the head of Shinhan Bank Indonesia, Yogyakarta Branch, Mirza Himawan, said that the scholarship is a form of Shinhan Bank's contribution to promoting the world of higher education in Indonesia, including UGM. By collaborating with partners, the bank aims to have a more significant impact on the world of education.
Shinhan Bank Indonesia scholarships were delivered to FEB UGM students offline and online. The online delivery is symbolically made to other recipients, as represented by Dr. Rangga Almahendra, S.T., M.M., a lecturer in the management study program FEB UGM.
One of the scholarship recipients, Vincentius Candra Kurniawan Laiyan, said the scholarship encouraged him and his fellow recipients to study harder and excel in academic and non-academic fields.
"We would also like to express our gratitude to FEB UGM for this scholarship, which always supports its students in developing themselves further," he said.
Vice Dean for Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni, Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., said that FEB UGM facilitates its students to develop soft and hard skills further critical and innovative thinking, one of which is through the Career and Student Development Unit (CSDU). He hopes that the scholarships provided by FEB UGM's partners can further support FEB UGM students in their studies and preparation to enter the workforce.
On this occasion, Gilang also said that FEB UGM has opened up opportunities for broader cooperation with Shinhan Bank Indonesia in various areas. For example, I will hold lectures with practitioners from Shinhan Bank Indonesia and support studies related to finance and banking.
