As technology advances rapidly, financial crime threats are becoming more challenging to detect. Today's leaders must have integrity and be innovative and tech-savvy to support financial crime investigation and enforcement in the digital age.

This was highlighted by Abvianto Syaifullah, S.H., M.H., an investigator at the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia, during the Anti-Fraud 101 podcast entitled "Future Leaders in Fraud Fighting Combats". In this session, Abvianto shared his experience as an investigator at the Attorney General's Office.

Abvianto emphasized the importance of technology in supporting the fraud investigation process in the digital age. In his view, leaders in the fight against fraud must be able to adapt to technological advances. "Leaders who do not keep up with technological developments may fall behind and become a new problem in their leadership," he said.

He also stressed the need for innovation and technological adaptation to anticipate and detect fraud. These efforts are significant when dealing with extraordinary crimes, such as corruption and drug abuse cases, which often involve fictitious transactions using fake accounts.

Abvianto shared his experience as Chief Investigator of the Special Crimes Division (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General's Office, where he used technology such as the Adiaksa Monitoring Center (AMC) to investigate cases. This technology was used to analyze data, including financial transactions on mobile phones and data stored on hard drives.

During the podcast, Abvianto also highlighted the essential qualities a leader must possess. According to him, leaders should think intelligently, act quickly, and make accurate decisions. They also need to know how to secure and implement their tools while innovating to create breakthroughs based on technology. The application of Pancasila values in leadership is also considered crucial.
