Three UGM students, consisting of Made Lanang Ray Widyatmika (Accounting 2015), Fernandi Army (Economics 2015), and Natasha Christanti (English-SV 2016), in the Equilibrium team won the first place in the national scientific writing competition in 'Pekan Raya Ekonomi 2018' held by Economics student association (HMJIE) Faculty of Economics adn Business Universitas Jember (UNEJ).

National Economic Issues Debating Competition or DIEN is a national event which is held annually by UKMF of Research Kristal, Faculty of Economics, Yogyakarta State University (UNY). DIEN is a forum for students to submit arguments from two sides, the pros or cons, of the latest economic issues. This competition uses the Asian Parliamentary System. The Asian Parliamentary System (APS) system is a system adopted from the debate competition system between Asia Pacific universities. The event was held on October 13, 2018 and was attended by 8 best teams of representatives from universities throughout Indonesia, such as Gadjah Mada University, University of North Sumatra, Lambung Mangkurat University, and many more. This competition consists of three stages of preliminary rounds (8 teams), semifinals (4 teams), and the final round (2 teams).

A team of undergraduate students from the Accounting Department of Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) won the first place in the MAKSI Accounting Competition (MACC) 2018 which was held on September 28, 2018. The team consisted of Dominikus Belfast Panindya (Accounting 2015), Anggit Budi Pawestri (Accounting 2015) and Bernadus Ade Febrianto Nugroho (Accounting 2015).

An achievement has been made by students of Faculty of Economic and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM). The team which consisted of Reza Fernandes (Economics 2015), Nabilah Ajeng Safitri (Economics 2015) and Nur Rahmi Puspitaningrum (Economics 2015) managed to won the second place in Business Plan Competition of The 9th Vocational Career Development (VORMENT) Day 2018 which was held by Student Executive Board (BEM) of Vocational School of Universitas Indonesia, on September 28, 2018.
The Competition consisted of 2 stages of qualification including registration and submission of business plan proposal of the 15 teams and a final event which was held in Universitas Indonesia. In the final round, there were 5 finalists consisted of the team of Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya, Universitas Diponegoro, Universitas Negeri Lampung and Universitas Telkom.
The winner of this competition was achieved by the team of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya, followed by the team of Universitas Gadjah Mada in the second, and Universitas Telkom in the third place.

The team of undergraduate students from the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM consisting of Graini Annisa (Accounting 2016) and Maura Finessa Winayo (Accounting 2016) won First Winner in the Accounting Paper Competition (APC) Diponegoro Accounting's Harmony (DASH) that was held on 28-29 September 2018 at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Diponegoro (FEB UNDIP).

Two student team from Undergraduate Program Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) won 2nd Winner and 3rd winner in Scientific Writing Competition Diponegoro Financial National Competition (DEFINE) 2018. This competition were held on September 19-22, 2018 at Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang. The first team "Bulaksumur" consist of Sultan Alfiantsyah (Economics 2017), Muhammad Nabiel Arzyan (Economics 2016), and Rema Prostinaldo Yunanto (Economics 2017) won the second position and awarded as Best Speaker. The second team "Fulqentius" consist of Regita Yosi Utami (Economics 2016), Jonathan Farez S. (Economics 2017) and Leila Chanifah Zuhri (Accounting 2017) won the third position.
