Saturday (16/9), the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) was again proud because one of its students, Ali Alexander (Management 2021) and his partner Elsa Firlyani (Property Management and Appraisal SV 2021), who are members of the Pairgrowth Team, won the GIBEI Equity Research Competition (GERC) 2023 at Universitas Andalas (UNAND). This competition is a fundamental analysis essay competition to assess whether the issuer presented by the committee in the case falls into the hold, sell, or buy category. GERC 2023 is a national competition within the scope of the GIBEI Fair 2023, which is held entirely online.

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) has again received delightful news. Two teams consisting of FEB UGM undergraduate students have achieved remarkable success in the INFEST (Investment Festival) - Equity Research Competition 2023, an annual event organized by the Study Group of Economics and Capital Markets at the Institut Teknologi Bandung (KSEP ITB). The competition aims to encourage Indonesians to invest and learn more about economics and capital markets.

Saturday (08/26), the Alumni Family of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (KAFEGAMA), in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) and PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (PKT), held the grand final stage of the Pupuk Kalimantan Timur - Gadjah Mada Business Case Competition (PKT-GAMA BCC) 2023. The event's pinnacle took place in the Auditorium of FEB UGM, 8th floor of the Learning Center Building, as the final round of the competition that had been ongoing since May 2023 and was participated in by more than 200 teams of 600 undergraduate and master's students from all over Indonesia.

Once again, proud news resounds from the Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) contingent in the 2023 National Student Competition in Business, Management, and Finance (KBMK) final round. The last sequence of the competition was held from August 7th to 11th, 2023, at the IPMI International Business School in South Jakarta. The UGM contingent, consisting of students from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and the Department of Economics and Business of the Vocational School (DEB SV), successfully clinched five championship titles. This remarkable achievement also solidified UGM as receiving the highest number of medals in this year's KBMK event.

The undergraduate student team from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada University (FEB UGM), consisting of Giacinta Betralda Anin Pradita (Accounting 2021), Hans Mangatur Pakpahan (Accounting 2021), and Raihan Mufid Rufiano (Accounting 2021), won 3rd place in the competition student paper in the East Economic Forum Call for Paper (EJAVEC CP) 2023. This competition is part of a series of activities for The 10th East Java Eonomic (EJAVEC) Forum 2023 with the theme "Encouraging Inclusive and Sustainable East Java Economic Resilience Amidst Increasing Global Uncertainty", collaboration between the East Java Province Bank Indonesia Representative Office and the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) and ISEI East Java Coordinator's Surabaya Branch which was held on July 26 2023 at Universitas Airlangga.

Wednesday (26/07), a lively atmosphere filled the closing and awarding night of the national level of Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres) at Universitas Hasanuddin, Makassar, South Sulawesi. Schalke Anindya Putri, representing Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), achieved first place in the undergraduate level of this annual competition. The young woman, usually known as Schalke, will soon enter her last year of study in the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UGM.
