The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), again received good news. The Punakawan team consists of Exxel Diandra Adyatma (Accounting 2021), Grace Zefanya Octovella Situmorang (Economics 2021), Beatrice Sarah Tiominar Silalahi (Economics 2021), and Gregorius Bintang Kusuma Indriyatno (Management 2021) won the title 1st Runner-Up in the 2023 HSBC Business Case Competition. Every year, undergraduate students from economics and business faculties from various leading universities in Indonesia participate in the HSBC Business Case Competition, a Business Case Competition event organized by PT Bank HSBC Indonesia.

Student of the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) in Economics class of 2020, Schalke Anindya Putri, has just brought good news to the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). Schalke won the election for outstanding students at the UGM level. Previously, Schalke was the most outstanding student in FEB UGM. After going through various stages of selection from January, on Saturday (01/04), Schalke officially won the title of The Most Outstanding Student UGM Undergraduate.

The Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) as one of the largest associations that exclusively focuses on developing the management accounting profession is holding the IMA Student Case Competition 2023 for students globally. This competition is divided into six regions: the USA, India, Europe, Asia-Pacific, China, and the Middle East. IMA AsiaPac Student Case Competition 2023 is a prestigious international competition that brings together students from universities across the Asia-Pacific region to compete and demonstrate their skills in solving real-world business problems. This competition provides an excellent opportunity for students to show off their knowledge and skills in accounting and finance.

Monday (27/3), three students from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) made international achievements in the Nanyang Technology University Model United Nations 2023 (NTU MUN 2023) in Singapore. In this International Level United Nations (UN) Assembly Simulation Competition, the team from UGM consisting of Christansya Eliora Manossoh (Economics-IUP 2022), Muhammad Alfi Ramadhan (Computer Science-IUP 2021), and Najwa Waq'iah (Management 2022) won two awards prestigious. All three are the UGM Model United Nations Community (UGM MUN) members.

Three undergraduate students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) in team BC Girlies, consisting of Azzahra Aulia Hasibuan (Accounting 2020), Aura Putri Buwono Dewi (Accounting 2020), and Adisty Cantika Paramadhina (Accounting-IUP 2020) managed to carve 3rd place at the ITB Civil Engineering Expo Business Case Competition (ICEE BCC) 2023. ICEE is an annual Civil Engineering competition held by the ITB Civil Student Association. This competition collaborates with Skha as a case collaborator and raises a business case: a housing complex plan in the Capital City of Nusantara (IKN). The ICEE 2023 final was held at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB).

Monday (30/1) Lecturer in the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), Rimawan Pradiptyo , S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D. won the Encouragement Award title at the 2022 (3rd) Hitachi Global Foundation Asia Innovation Award with the research title "SONJO: Online-Based Social Capital Aims to Minimize the Adverse Impact of COVID-19 in Yogyakarta". SONJO targets to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) number 11, namely Sustainable Cities and Settlements, more specifically SDGs number 11.3, 11.5, and 11b.
