The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) celebrated the graduation of 191 undergraduate students during the first graduation ceremony of the 2024/2025 academic year. The Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, M.Com., Ak., C.A. officially conferred the degrees during the ceremony on Wednesday, 20 November 2024, at the FEB UGM Plaza. The 191 graduates included 164 students from the regular program and 27 from the International Undergraduate Programme (IUP).

This year's graduates included 59 from the Accounting program, 44 from the Economics program, and 88 from the Management program. Of these, 143 graduates received the distinction cum laude.

The title of best and youngest graduate was awarded to Marcheline Natasya Santoso from the Accounting Study Programme, who achieved a GPA of 3.91 at the age of 20 years, 8 months, and 26 days. Meanwhile, the fastest graduate was Evan Timothy Hotan Togatorop, also from the Accounting program, who completed his studies in 3 years, 1 month, and 30 days with a GPA of 3.89.

Several graduates from this period also achieved notable national and international success. Evan Timothy Hotan Togatorop from the Accounting program won first place in the International Student Case Competition 2024. Muhammad Naufal Fauzan from the Economics program won first place in the ASEAN Innovative Policy Competition 2021, while Amanda Chiquitita Arassy from the Management program won first place in the Petrolida International Business Case Competition 2022.

Prof. Didi Achjari congratulated the graduates and emphasized that FEB UGM is proud of their national and international achievements. In addition to the competitions, 22 of this year's graduates were recipients of the KIP-Kuliah (Bidikmisi) scholarship, and three graduates were recipients of the KAFEGAMA 89 scholarship.

Prof Didi reiterated FEB UGM's commitment to inclusivity by providing access to education for the nation's brightest students from Sabang to Merauke. "22 students received KIP-K scholarships, and three received KAFEGAMA 89 scholarships. This shows that FEB UGM is accessible to students from different economic backgrounds," he said.

In his concluding remarks, Prof Didi expressed his hope that the graduates would use the knowledge they gained during their studies to contribute to the development of society and the nation. He also wished them success in their future careers and endeavors.

FEB UGM's top graduate, Marcheline Natasya Santoso, expressed gratitude to the faculty and parents who supported her throughout her academic journey. She encouraged her fellow graduates to continue contributing to society. "This is the first step in giving back to society. Let's use the knowledge we have gained as a basis for our future contributions," she said.

Dr Hendri Saparini, KAFEGAMA representative and founder of CORE Indonesia, welcomed the graduates as the newest members of the KAFEGAMA family. "We are proud to welcome you as new members of KAFEGAMA. As FEB UGM graduates, we should be grateful for the extensive alumni network that is ready to support career and capacity development," she said.
