FEB UGM and University of Glasgow Establish Double Degree Program Cooperation

The Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) has partnered with the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow, to implement a double degree program for Master's students.
The cooperation was formalized by signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the Kertanegara Room of FEB UGM. The MoA was signed by Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, S.E., M.Com., Ak., CA., Dean of FEB UGM, and Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation and Alumni, together with a representative of the University Court of the University of Glasgow, Belgin Okay-Somerville, Ph.D..
Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership and its potential benefits for both institutions. "We are delighted to welcome representatives from the University of Glasgow and to discuss collaborations, including opportunities for our students to participate in the double degree program and online courses. This partnership opens up extraordinary opportunities for our students to study in Scotland, broaden their horizons, and gain valuable international experience," he said.
The partnership focuses on implementing double degree programs in economics and business. The program aims to enhance students' academic capacity and global mobility. It includes dual degree opportunities for FEB UGM's Master of Science and Doctoral programs, Master of Development Economics and Management, and relevant Master of Science programs in Economics, Accounting, and Management at the University of Glasgow. "This agreement aims to enhance academic capacity and global student mobility, providing academic benefits and international opportunities for students from both institutions," added Gumilang.
Belgin Okay-Somerville, Ph.D., also expressed optimism about the collaboration and the future opportunities it could create. "We look forward to further collaboration and providing our students with valuable academic and international experiences through this program," she said.
