On Wednesday and Thursday, June 26 until 27 2019, 15 delegates from Singapore's Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management University (SMU LKCBS) headed by Prof. Tan Chin Tiong, Senior Advisor to President and Prof. Gerry George, Dean of SMU LKCBS conducted a series of activities aimed to strengthen academic cooperation between the two parties. The visit was also intended as a brainstorming for further academic activities which are expected to be more impactful to the community, as stated by the Dean of FEB UGM, Dr. Eko Suwardi when opening the event while giving a welcome speech. The two day visit consisted of seminars with the theme of The Latest Indonesian Economics and Development and industry visits. The seminar be held for two hours and presented by three lecturers of FEB UGM, that is Singgih Wijayana, Ph.D (Department of Accounting), Boyke R. Purnomo, Ph.D., CFP. (Department of Management), and Sekar Utami Setiastuti, Ph.D. (Department of Economics).

Faculty of Economics and Business University of Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) celebrate 64th Anniversary with the spirit of improvement of quality of education after successfully maintaining Association's accreditation to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International. Carrying theme "Unite and Strengthening Quality", a series of events celebrating the Anniversary opened with an economic seminar titled "Economic Outlook and Key Policy Challenges in Emerging Asia", Friday (6/21). This event in collaboration with Kensuke Tanaka, Head of the Asia Desk for the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Development Center as a speaker. Also attend Sekar Utami Setiastuti, Ph. D., Person in Charge of Macroeconomic Dashboard, Department of Economics, UGM as the discussant of the discussion on this morning. The event was moderated by Gunawan, B.Sc., M.Sc., one of the lecturers of the Department of Economics, UGM.

Entering the 10th day in Syawal Month, Friday (14/6) the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) held a "halalbihalal" tradition at the Learning Center Building of FEB UGM. Titled "Syawalan 1440 H", this event was inviting Prof. Dr. Komaruddin Hidayat as a speaker. Also came Eko Suwardi, M.Sc., Ph.D. as a Dean of FEB UGM, Lecturers and Staff of FDB UGM, and representatives from various student organizations. This event starts at 09.00 AM with greeting by Mr. Eko Suwardi who said that the halalbihalal moment was the right tool to strengthen relationship for all of FEB UGM Family.

Cited from the population data of the Yogyakarta Special Region, there are 180 people with disabilities who live in Moyudan sub-district. This number is quite large compared to the total number of persons with disabilities in Sleman Regency, which amounts to 1,862 people. Persons with disabilities in Moyudan District are members of a community called the Moyudan Disability Community. Activities from this community are currently still limited in social activities such as social gathering. This activity was considered not productive and did not add value to the Moyudan Disability community’s member themselves.

On Thursday and Friday, May 2-3 2019, FEB UGM held the Campus Hiring and Sharing Session: Ernst & Young (EY) Goes to Universitas Gadjah Mada. This event is taken place at the Djarum Foundation Auditorium, Pertamina Tower Building, Faculty of Economics and Business UGM. The Dean of FEB UGM, Eko Suwardi, Ph.D stated that this moment is very rare occasion event due to the directly presented by EY Management. “This noon will be of the benefit between FEB UGM with our partnership” mentioned by Eko.
