Looking at the polemic that occur in the community related to the Regulation Draft of Cipta Karya (Omnibus Law), on Friday (6/3), Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) held a Seminar and Public Lecture (SinarKU) with the theme "Omnibus Law: When the Institutional Aspect Is Forgotten". The public lecture was held at the Djarum Foundation Auditorium and was attended by FEB UGM students, as well as the speaker Prof. Dr. Maria S.W. Sumardjono as academics from the Faculty of Law UGM (FH UGM) and Dr. Rimawan Pradiptyo, as academics from Faculty of Economics UGM (FEB UGM).

It has become a tradition for the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) to hold activities in order to welcome the inaugural lecture in the new semester, one of which is public lecture activities.
On Monday (10/2), a public lecture titled "Roles and Responsibilities of Public Accountants in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0" was held at the 8th Floor Learning Center Building. This event was attended by students of the Accountant Professional Education Program (PPA) and undergraduate students of FEB UGM and also attracts Riadi Sugihtani, Tagor Sidik Sigiro from the Public Accounting Firm (KAP) Grant Thornton and Tarkosunaryo from the Indonesian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (IICPA) as speakers.

Monday (1/20), Prof. rer.soc. R. Agus Sartono was officially inaugurated as Professor of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), at the Senate Hall of the Universitas Gadjah Mada. Agus Sartono was determined to become a Professor after taking his Bachelor of Management education at FEB UGM, master's education at the School of Business, Western Carolina University, United States, and doctoral education at Innsbruck Innsbruck Social Sciences and Economic, Austria.

On realizing support and a forum for lecturers, researchers, and students to publish and disseminate articles in the fields of economic and business research, the Publication Unit of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada held a Workshop and Clinical Writing of Scientific Articles. The event was held on Saturday (11/30) at the Learning Center Auditorium, FEB UGM. To support the achievement of the objectives of the event, the FEB UGM Publication Unit also invited two speakers who have a wealth of experience in the field of writing and publication in international journals.
