On Thursday (9/11) and Friday (10/11), Department of Accounting Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) with collaboration of Gadjah Mada Accounting Student Community (IMAGAMA) held the second batch of training on Excel and Macros with trainer from Inixindo. The event was held in S.317 on Thursday and Lab. Computer on Friday, and was attended by 35 undergraduate and postgraduate accounting students of FEB UGM. The first batch of the training was previously held at the computer laboratory of Magister and Doctoral Program on the 13th and 14th of October 2017. Different from the second batch, the first batch was partially trained by Mr. Hendar Agung Satrio, a Senior Manager at PT Telkom Indonesia, to give hands-on information about the advantage of using Macros in preparing financial statement.

On Friday (17/11/17) and Saturday (18/11/17), Department of Accounting Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) collaborated with Gadjah Mada Accounting Student Community (IMAGAMA) held audit simulation training with KAP Kumalahadi, Kuncara, Sugeng Pamudji & Rekan (KAP KKSP & Partners). The event was held in B307 FEB UGM and was attended by 40 undergraduate accounting students of FEB UGM. The invited speaker in this training was Mr. Kumalahadi, whom is the managing partner of KAP KKSP & Partners.

The global financial crisis in 2008/2009 encouraged the central bank to implement policy mix in order to achieve price stability and support the stability of financial system. Economist from UGM who is also Deputy Head of Presidential Staff Office, Denni Puspa Pusbasari, Ph.D., has asked students as future leaders to play a role in the public sector by giving their thoughts to the government in order that the government could issue a policy beneficial for all, even if the policy does not seem to make everyone happy.

Luis E. Breuer, IMF Chief of Mission for Indonesia, gave a public lecture at Djarum Foundation Auditorium in the Pertamina Tower 6th floor, FEB UGM. Hundreds of students from Yogyakarta participated in the lecture, including from Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana, and STIE YKPN.
