The economic crisis which hit Turkey and Venezuela become a global concern, without exception to Indonesian government. This crisis was caused by a few policies taken by Donald Trump and The Fed, and caused emerging countries’ currencies to weaken, including the Rupiah as well. This weakening of the Rupiah may cause turmoil in the society.

On Friday, 14th September 2018, a Soft Skill Training was held for students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM). The event was held at the Audio Visual room, on East Wing of 1st Floor FEB UGM with a theme “Creative Thinking in Event Management”. The speakers of this event were filled by the Head of Customer Service & Events Division of PT. Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko (Persero), Roswita and Director of Prambanan Jazz Festival 2018 & Rajawali Indonesia Communication, Bakkar Wibowo. The event started at 9:30 WIB, guided by one of the lecturers of FEB UGM, Yulia Arisnani Widyaningsih, as the master of ceremony (MC). The participants of this event reached approximately 150 attendants.

After 25 years, the alumni of the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM (KAFEGAMA) 1993 held a reunion event on 31 August - 1 September 2018. The reunion was a moment for meeting, sharing memories and let go of longing for lectures within alumni of 1993. On August 31, 2018, the alumni from each department conducted a Sharing Session about their experiences in college and work which was welcomed very enthusiastically by all active students of FEB UGM. Then, on September 1 2018, all alumni gathered in the evening event at the peak of the Silver Reunion Kafegama 1993. Each alumni from the Department of Management, Economics and Accounting gathered in a warm atmosphere accompanied by a variety of traditional foods and also live music from the band with 90s songs.

On Saturday, 1st September 2018 at 19.00 WIB, there is an unfamiliar voice at Plaza FEB UGM, a small talk of KAFEGAMA 1993 (Universitas Gadjah Mada Faculty of Economics Almuni Community). Those who had not meet for 25 years, sharing a smiles and stories under the sky of Yogyakarta. An Angkringan cart, with nasi kucing and ginger milk, were served to accompany their chitchat. The event was also enliven by a singer with a band.

PT Jakarta Setiabudi Internasional Tbk. (JSI) in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM held the Sapta Akasa Logo Design Competition.
Sapta Akasa is part of Faculty of Economics and Business UGM Learning Center building located on the 7th floor, the result of collaboration from FEB UGM and PT Jakarta Setiabudi Internasional, Tbk. Sapta Akasa is a combination of 2 words taken from Sanskrit. Sapta means seven which represents the seventh floor. Akasa means heaven which also means free or open space that represents freedom of ideas, freedom of ideas and freedom to collaborate.

On Saturday, 8 August 2018 at 12.00 WIB in the Hallway of Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UGM, there was noise that was not from students, not as usual. This time came from a different source. The faces, which showed that they had gone through various phases of life, were sitting at several round tables and listening to the Master of Ceremony. Old songs from the keyboard played softly and the participants were asked to mention the title and singer of them. Apparently, Alumni Grand Reunion FE UGM Class of 81 event was underwaying.
